We recommend flying into Aeropuerto Internacional Benito Juárez (MEX). The airport is about 30-40 minutes from the hotel and about 40-50 minutes to the venue.
Your passport needs to be valid for the duration of your trip to enter Mexico. Many airlines have six-month validity rules, so it is highly recommended to have at least six months of validity left on your passport to avoid being denied boarding. Those attempting to enter at an airport with a U.S. passport card only may be denied admission.
American citizens do not need visas for stays up to 180 days.
Uber is safe, convenient, and affordable. Your US Uber account will work without issue - you simply need data (a roaming cellular plan or Wi-Fi) to request the ride.
🚕 Transportation: In addition to Ubers, we also recommend booking official airport taxis. These should be booked at the taxi kiosks (“Taxi Autorizado”). You can pay in pesos or with credit cards.
🕰️ Arrival Time: We suggest arriving at least a day before the wedding events you will be attending in case of delays or traffic. The wedding events will begin on Thursday, October 8th.
💵 Currency Exchange: It’s better to withdraw pesos from ATMs than to use airport exchange booths, which have poor rates. We recommend having some cash on hand (in case you want to shop the markets, for example!) Pesos can also be ordered ahead of time at your bank.
📱 SIM Cards/Phones: No extra fees for many USA phone plans (AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, etc.) If coming from other locales, Telcel and AT&T have kiosks at MEX if guests want local data.
